Dr. Reid is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical teatment of retina and macular diseases.
She was raised in Boston, Massachusetts and received her B.S. in Biology from Wellesley College, graduating cum laude. In 1994, Dr. Reid received her medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Washington Hospital Center where she served as the Chief Resident. Subsequently, she completed a medical and surgical retina fellowship at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas. She joined Retina Associates in 2000 and became a partner in 2004.
She has served as a principal investigator for clinical trials studying biopharmaceuticals and macular degeneration. Her clinical interests include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and vitreo-retinal surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Reid serves on several hospital committees at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis and recently served as Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Reid enjoys skiing, sailing, and swimming. She is also a PADI certified dive master-assistant scuba diving instructor.
