The retinal doctors at Retina Associates are a group of dedicated and compassionate doctors who strive to ensure the best patient outcome. Despite the growing size of this successful practice, there is still a high regard to individual attention given to each patient and the patient's referring doctor. Consistent and constant communication between the retinal specialist and referring doctors is vital to a positive patient experience. I highly recommend this practice not only for their great communication with patients, but also with their commendable efforts to involve the patient's referring doctor. I have learned through the years that while some large medical facilities may provide equally wonderful medical treatment to a patient; it is nearly impossible to receive a follow-up report or even contact the specialist directly, making it difficult to answer any questions my patient may ask me. However, Drs. Watt, Reid, Vu, and Syed have all responded to phone calls or emails that I have sent them in a timely manner even if it's for a patient that I saw on a late Saturday afternoon who needs an emergency consult. When I refer my patients to Retina Associates, I do so without trepidation that my patients will be lost in the medical system or that I will not be updated on their ocular condition condition.

I have practiced in Glen Burnie and Pasadena, Md. for 24 years.  Often, a patient will come in with a severe retinal problem requiring immediate referral with a need to be seen ASAP.  Retina Associates has demonstrated an outstanding record of being able to see my emergency retinal patients immediately at either their Glen Burnie or Annapolis office(s).  In addition, Retina Associates has an equally outstanding after hours response system along with a retinal specialist who is on call and ready to come in to see a patient whose situation does not allow next day evaluation and treatment.
