Dr. Vivek Chaturvedi Published in the "Archives of Ophthalmology"

Dr. Vivek Chaturvedi and his colleagues published the enclosed photo essay in the "Archives of Ophthalmology". The rare photo of the vitreous cyst made the cover of the September, 2011 Archives. Pigmented vitreous cysts are a rare condition. The vitreous cyst migrates from the front of the eye (where they are typically found) toward the retina. In this particular case, in an otherwise healthy young female, the cyst moved directly in front of her macula causing significant vision loss. Following uncomplicated vitreoretinal surgery by the authors, the cyst was removed restoring her vision back to 20/20.
